Where we've got to: Doctor Shandra Chen has led Mikey out of a medieval castle fantasy simulation where he was Ser Michael, a knight of the realm whose sword defended the Queen. He's still stuck in a compulsion to play that role, while Chen takes him back into the alien ziggurat that should be familiar to us, and which was constructed by an unknown race as an eternal prison for the evil entity known only as He Whose Name Must Not Be Spoken, because if you do say it aloud he'll hear your thoughts and worm his way into your mind and you will become his thrall. (He/his are used for handiness, the entity is very probably not a he/his, and does not care a whit what meaningless worms call him.) Chen unlocks and opens a door, leaving medieval land, and finds herself face to face with a clusterfcuk of Mikeys (which is the technical term) gathered from different dimensions, as detailed in previous pages that nobody will even remember, I bet....
